Opening Memorial Day, 2026, Michigan Family Retreats is completing its second multi-generational family paradise. Set on thirty-five acres, this property promises to make golden memories for you and yours. Construction is on-going: much of the project has been renovating the interior of the original house, which has now been done. The pavilion will be completed by mid-August, and the house addition will be done prior to Memorial Day. Photos will be updated as construction progresses.

Outside, there are thirty-two acres of woods to explore. Trails wind along the Galien River and Johnson’s Creek. Our wetland abuts hundreds of acres of similar woods, ensuring vibrant wildlife and scenic beauty.

After a walk in the woods, relax in the giant hot tub, or go for a swim in our 41’ x 16’ saltwater pool. Our pool cover is so strong that it is considered a fence Michigan law, but for additional safety, we have added a five-foot fence with two high gate latches, well out of the reach of little ones.

Next to the pool is the sport court: a full-sized pickleball court with an adjustable net. Raise the net and you have a volleyball court; remove the net altogether and you have a basketball court with hoops at each end of the court. All of this is on a shock-absorbing surface.

In between the house and the pool and sport court is the pavillion. A stand-alone, screened-in porch, the pavilion is a place to eat, relax, and enjoy the scenery.

The one-story house has six bedrooms, all of which have en suite private bathrooms, though two bedrooms do share one connecting bath. All bedrooms have black-out shades to ensure a comfortable night’s rest. The chef’s kitchen is quite large and has everything you need to create almost any recipe, and two dishwashers for cleanup. The dining room has a custom made twelve-foot table, so that everyone has a comfortable seat. There is plenty of room in the living room to admire the view in the backyard, watch the flatscreen TV, or just talk in one of the two conversation areas. The office features a queen-sized Murphy bed, bookcases, and a game cabinet. The lower level has a game room with bumper pool and foosball, as well as the laundry room, with two washing machines and two dryers.

There is so much to do on our property, but don’t forget the surrounding area. This corner of Michigan is chock full of antique shops, breweries, vineyards, and of course Lake Michigan, a fifteen minute drive away.

Cancellation Policy: Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 60 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
